Public Health Announcement - (COVID-19) Coronavirus

 Hello,

In light of current information about coronavirus and the potential for it to reach Ohio, the Ohio Department of Education has developed an FAQ for schools and districts. Please refer to this FAQ on coronavirus as a resource for questions you may have and questions you may receive. This document will be updated as more information becomes available, so please be sure to check back often.

As a reminder, the Ohio Department of Education urges schools and districts to use this time to review and refresh their school safety plans, which should outline procedures for emergency situations. As a best practice, safety plans also should incorporate hazards such as widespread flu and pandemic disease outbreaks. Schools and districts should make all decisions in the best interest of the health and safety of students and the community.

Informational resources also are available and continually updated on the Ohio Department of Health’s website: www.coronavirus.ohio.gov.

Thank you for all you are doing to keep your students and community safe.
