Our Mission
Youngstown Community School is
More than a School!
Established in 1998, YCS provides an active and nurturing learning community that helps students become socially and academically successful. We provide educational experiences to meet the needs of each child through small class settings.
YCS is a school choice option for students residing in Mahoning County and who are in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade. Our school is known for its incredible staff with their commitment to excellence and the success of our students.

Why I love Youngstown Community School -
My grandchildren have attended there for 3 years. They are like family and are always willing to help me. I am grateful for them and their willingness to keep improving the children's education.

YCS is a wonderful place for children to attend. The staff really goes above and beyond for their children. This allows children to grow and learn in a great environment with people who really care about them. Also, programs such as Success After Six, allows or children to receive even more attention in problem areas to ensure when report cards come out, they have brought grades up. Wonderful place!!
